With the ever growing need for housing and the government encouraging the use of brown field sites, mixed industrial and residential areas are becoming ever more common.

It is necessary that noise from industrial sites is adequately controlled so that it does not affect nearby residents. This is important for both the resident and businesses.

We have much experience on the assessment of industrial noise and providing cost effective noise mitigation advice for to both the residential developer and industry.

Our work includes the assessment and control of industrial noise for planning purposes both at the design stage and during operation as well as addressing existing industrial and commercial noise in terms of noise nuisance. This includes factories and commercial buildings such as supermarkets, car washes and petrol filling stations as well as Quarries, Waste Recycling Centres and Airfields.

We undertake assessments of industrial noise in accordance with PPG24, British Standard 4142: 1997 and Mineral Policy Statement 2.

We advise on controlling noise from industrial noise sources in proposed residential developments.
